Thousands of people are living on the edge of an emergency. It’s called hunger.
 
How would you feel if you had to go to bed hungry every night? If every day of your life, you were worried whether you could provide enough food for your family? If you had to watch your children fail to grow and thrive because they didn’t have enough to eat?

People are relying on food parcels that are being distributed by charities and organisations but "we are hearing heart-breaking stories all the time of people not being reached in rural areas and whole settlements where food distribution has hardly touched".
 
The motorbike taxi driver, who used to earn about $2 (£1.60) a day, has had no work since the government banned public transport last month as part of measures to slow the spread of coronavirus.
 
"We are going to die inside our homes because we will run out of food, we've been told not to leave our homes." Villagers said.

our water projects are designed to provide clean water to vulnerable and impoverished communities, for years to come. With your water donation, children from remote regions who would usually spend the day searching for water are now able to attend school seek knowledge and develop, moving closer to fulfilling their dreams. Mothers are united with their families who would typically walk for miles every day in search of water. All of whom are now protected from water-borne diseases which are the root problem for the majority of all illnesses in third world countries. With a water pump donation of just £1,500 - £2000 (Depending on the place and area), we can completely revolutionise the way countless people in poverty are currently having to live their lives. By installing a simple water handpump close to their home, those many hours a day spent walking miles just for clean water are significantly reduced and they can focus on improving their family income and wellbeing. As the family have access to clean water, there is a significant reduction in the risk of disease and contamination. Every water donation means people are healthier for longer, and that families are less worried about heavy medical bills.

A handpump is a small but efficient mechanism that can support a big communal area with access to clean drinking water. Currently, we are supporting the installation of water handpumps in (Africa) Uganda. Hand pumps provide households with as much water as they need each day for drinking, cleaning and cooking.

Upon completion of water handpumps, donors receive a personalised handpump report which includes a picture of their sponsored handpump benefiting the local community.
