Food Packs Distribution
Hunger is a major problem affecting hundreds of millions across the world. Even when famine is not the immediate cause, the grinding poverty that characterises many parts of the world leads to malnutrition, illness, and in the worst cases, death.
Most people who battle hunger deal with chronic undernourishment and vitamin or mineral deficiencies, which result in stunted growth, weakness and heightened susceptibility to illness.
Countries in which a large portion of the population battles hunger are usually poor and lack the social safety nets we enjoy, such as soup kitchens, food stamps, and job training programmes. When a family cannot grow enough food or earn enough money to buy food, there is nowhere to turn for help.
Madrasah Zeenatul Quran issues emergency food packages which are composed of a variety of staple foodstuffs which cover the major food groups. These are usually distributed in areas which are in need of emergency relief as well as in abnormally poor areas.
To help you follow in the Prophet's footsteps, Madrasah Zeenatul Quran is giving you the chance to provide basic food to poor families in India, Palestine, Yemen, Syrian Refugee camps in Jordan and Lebanon, and Africa this year.
It is not becoming of a Muslim to sleep on a full stomach whilst those around him (his neighbours) go hungry.

Widows Support
Abdullah bin Abbaas Radiyallahu ‘anhu said:
‘For me to fulfil the necessities of a Muslim family for a month or for a week or for whatever period of time that Allah pleases, is more beloved to me than performing Hajj after Hajj. Buying a utensil for even a Daaniq (one-sixth of a dirham) and giving it to my brother as a gift for the pleasure of Allah is more beloved to me than spending a Dinaar in the path of Allah.’ [Abu Nu’aym]
It is very difficult for widows to financially support themselves if they have children to look after. This problem is aggravated in countries which do not offer any support to them. By sponsoring a widow and her children, you can ameliorate their difficulties by covering their basic needs.
The Islamic ruling is that after the husband, the responsibility of her assistance and maintenance falls on the son(s), father, and brother(s) respectively. Failing that, the responsibility falls on the community around her. Failing that, the responsibility is on the Muslims as a whole.
Zakah, Sadaqah and Lillah can be given for this project.

Hygiene Kit For Refugees
As the Syrian and Yemen refugee crises has reached unimaginable proportions, basic aid is being delivered widely as we all join together on a humanitarian level regardless of faith or culture. However, hygiene aid is very often overlooked in the grand scheme of things; whereas its importance can prevent the spread of bacteria or development of illnesses especially in poor living conditions such as congested refugee camps.
PRESERVING THE DIGNITY OF SISTERS
We invite you to extend a hand of compassion and kindness to the Syrian and Yemeni sisters; especially at their most vulnerable time of the month. Our Hygiene Essentials Packs which are distributed in Syrian and Yemeni camps aim in helping to preserve their dignity and cleanliness at the time they need it most.
With your donations, each pack delivered endeavours to include:
Reported by Abu Hurairah (radhi Allahu anhu): The Prophet (sallalahu alaiyhi wasallam) said, "He who removes from a believer one of his difficulties of this world, Allah will remove one of his troubles on the Day of Resurrection; and he who finds relief for a hard-pressed person, Allah will make things easy for him on the Day of Resurrection."
