Water Hand Pump in Bangladesh

Our water projects are designed to provide clean water to vulnerable and impoverished communities for years to come. We seek to provide long-term solutions to water scarcity in a world that is increasingly affected by water scarcity and climate change.  With your water donation, we strive to promote health and safety with freshwater supplies and stop women and children from walking for miles each day to collect water by building hand pumps.

Clean water means people always have water to wash their hands and themselves, as well as kitchen utensils when cooking, helping to stop the spread of disease and illness.
Each water donation provides water to families for drinking, washing, cleaning and cooking.

With your water donation, children from remote regions who would usually spend the day searching for water can now attend school, seek knowledge and develop, moving closer to fulfilling their dreams. Mothers are united with their families, who would typically walk for miles every day in search of water. All of these are now protected from water-borne diseases which are the root problem for the majority of all illnesses in third world countries. Your water donation truly helps save lives and transforms communities.

With your donations, we can completely revolutionise the way countless people in poverty are currently having to live their lives. By installing a simple water handpump close to their home, those many hours a day spent walking miles just for clean water are significantly reduced and they can focus on improving their family income and wellbeing. As the family have access to clean water, there is a significant reduction in the risk of disease and contamination. Every water donation means people are healthier for longer, and families are less worried about heavy medical bills.

A hand pump is a small but efficient mechanism supporting a household or a small communal area with access to clean drinking water. Currently, we are supporting the installation of water handpumps in Pakistan (for £150)  and in Uganda (for 2000). Hand pumps provide households with as much water as they need daily for drinking, cleaning and cooking.

Upon completion of water handpumps, donors receive a video of their sponsored handpump benefiting the local community.
