Food Packs Distribution
Throughout Ramadan, Madrasah Zeenatul quran supports as many of the poorest most vulnerable people of Sierra Leone by providing monthly food packs. Many of the poorest people are living on a day to day basis making money each day to pay for their daily food. During Ramadan this can be difficult going out hustling on the streets trying to make money in the heat of the tropical climate. These food packs take off a lot of the pressure from the poor families knowing that their food is already taken care of for the whole month of Ramadan, which gives them the ability to rest whilst they are fasting.
The prophet Muhammad said:
“A giver of maintenance to the widows and the poor is like a giver in the way of Allah (swt), an utterer of prayers all night and fasting during the day.”
(Bukhari)
It is not becoming of a Muslim to sleep on a full stomach whilst those around him (his neighbours) go hungry.

Widows Support
Abdullah bin Abbaas Radiyallahu ‘anhu said:
‘For me to fulfil the necessities of a Muslim family for a month or for a week or for whatever period of time that Allah pleases, is more beloved to me than performing Hajj after Hajj. Buying a utensil for even a Daaniq (one-sixth of a dirham) and giving it to my brother as a gift for the pleasure of Allah is more beloved to me than spending a Dinaar in the path of Allah.’ [Abu Nu’aym]
It is very difficult for widows to financially support themselves if they have children to look after. This problem is aggravated in countries which do not offer any support to them. By sponsoring a widow and her children, you can ameliorate their difficulties by covering their basic needs.
The Islamic ruling is that after the husband, the responsibility of her assistance and maintenance falls on the son, father, and brother(s) respectively. Failing that, the responsibility falls on the community around her. Failing that, the responsibility is on the Muslims as a whole.
Zakah, Sadaqah and Lillah can be given for this project.

Orphan Sponsor
‘I and the person who looks after an orphan and provides for him, will be in Paradise like this,’ (putting his index and middle fingers together). [Bukhari)
Imagine sitting with the beloved prophet s.a.w. near the Rivers of Jannah, listening to his stories.
Alhamdulillah, Inter Aid UK (Managed by Madrasah Zeenatul Quran) supports many orphans, helping safeguard their iman and providing them a chance where there once was not.
Orphans are supported in Africa.
The cost of sponsoring an orphan is £10 per month or £120 per annum in Africa.
This amount helps cover the child’s food, clothing, school fees, Madrasah fees, uniforms, shoes, Health checkups and Eid gift costs.
Transforming a life costs us little but ensures us a place in Paradise inshaAllah. It is a means of continuous charity as the donor receives rewards for all the good that the sponsored child does.
Note: Donor will receive full report of the child (orphan's Picture, school, madrasah, medical and sport report)
